A Little About Me

My passion for Nutrition and Hormonal Health began with struggles of my own.

Having my symptoms be supressed and belittled started when I was in middle school. When I first got my period, it was extremely heavy and long. But instead of educating me on the fact that it was normal during my pubesent years, I was put on hormonal birth control at the age of 12/13.

I started developing IBS, migraines, anxiety, the list goes on. The only cure for these I was made aware of was medication.

Then I told about 5 years later that I MAY have markers of an autoimmune disease that MAY result in me needing to get fertility shots every day when I want to conceive.

Would I ever be healthy?

I started getting horrble cramps from my birth control, and developed such severe mood imbalances that I wasn’t even myself anymore. I was sitting in my OBGYN’s office crying, begging her to take that stupid Nexaplanon stick out of my arm. She almost didn’t do it, but I wasn’t going to be bullied into keeping it again.

I was so sick of drugs being the only soultion offered by doctors for my symptoms. I wanted to take my health into my own hands and finally just feel better. I didn’t want to feel hopeless, defeated, and lost anymore.

Then I found Nutritional Therapy and how to reconnect with my cycle.

My Mission & Vision

My biggest driving factor is that I never want another woman or girl to feel the way I did. That hopelessness, frustruation, and defeat can be crippling. I want to help take back your health and help you become the devine, radiant, HEALTHY, woman you were born to be.

Reconnecting with my body and my cycle not only helped me heal, but it also awoke a confidence in me I never knew I had.

What Is Nutritional Therapy?

 

The short answer would be: my dream job. But that doesn’t really give you much of an explanation!

Nutritional Therapy is still a relatively new and vast field, but an important one nonetheless. It’s there to teach you that you have more control over your health and symptoms than you think, and that food truly can be your medicine. 

And all of those symptoms you’ve been experiencing? They have a ROOT CAUSE. You’re not broken, it’s not normal for you to feel like sh!t, and you don’t have to anymore. Your body is resilient and amazing, sometimes it just needs a little extra support.

I do this by looking at the 6 foundations of health:

1. A Nutrient Dense Diet
2. Digestion
3. Blood Sugar Regulation
4. Fatty Acids
5. Mineral Balance
6. Hydration

When working with an NTP, we’ll address all 6 of these foundations and how dysfunction in those areas could be causing your symptoms. It’s not a quick fix or another fad diet trend. We will provide you with lifelong knowledge and a sustainable approach to healing. Reconnection and Transformation is the name of the game here. 

My Approach

 

My approach is based off of forming a deep connection with you, and reassuring you that I will be with you every step of the way. Healing is not linear. It’s hard. And I’m there to help keep you on track.

I also incorporate using the fertility awareness method in my approach becuase it’s an invaluable tool to not only getting to know your cycle, but it can also give us insights into your thyroid, hormonal, and metabolic health.
